Details

Female Red Cross ambulance drivers standing in a line in front of their vehicles with their mascot, a great Dane. The Sphere describes Queen Mary's specific interest in the role of women in the war effort, although she is not shown in the picture, and also comments on the women's "very neat dark blue uniform".
