An emotive drawing by Fortunino Matania showing a concerned mother with her two children on the deck of a liner approaching British waters, nearing port. Her concern is due to the German U-boat policy of targeting any vessel, not just those of an obvious military nature. This policy was ostensibly the main reason that the United States had entered the war in April 1917.
