Performance in the Bowery Theatre in New York, were young woman Minnie Wells the 'Lion Queen,' was doing her usual act, but on this fateful night, two lionesses sprang upon her, she was thrown down to the floor, where they fastened their teeth and claws into her throat and shoulders.
