Edward Lionel Terry (1873 – 1952) New Zealand white supremacist and murderer, incarcerated in psychiatric institutions after murdering a Chinese immigrant, Mr. Joe Kum Yung, in Wellington, New Zealand in 1905. Terry claimed he carried out the murder in order to publicise his book, The Shadow, in which he wrote about the so-called 'yellow peril' and alien immigration.
