Description Liverpool Philharmonic Hall exterior, 1849
Details

The exterior of the then-new Liverpool Philharmonic Concert Hall, at the time of the Liverpool Music Festival, 1849. The style is described by The Illustrated London News as 'Roman-Italian, plain, but bold in character.'The building was replaced in 1939 when its predecessor burnt down in 1933.
