Rt Hon. Earl of Birkenhead - Frederick Edwin Smith, noted lawyer and Conservative politician. Occupied the posts of Solicitor-General in 1915, Attorney-General from 1915 to 1919 and Lord High Chancellor from 1919 to 1922. Pictured on his boat 'Mairi' at Cowes with his younger daughter Lady Pamela Smith, who became Lady Pamela Berry on her marriage.
