Details

Some of the wounded soldiers convalescing at the hospital at Scopwick House near Blankney, Lincolnshire, home of Lord Londesborough. Lady Irene Denison (later the Marchioness of Carisbrooke after marrying Prince Alexander of Battenberg who anglicised his surname during the First World War), the only daughter of Lord and Lady Londesborough, is seen seated centre with a dog on her lap.
