An American victim of the sinking of the 'Lusitania' being stretchered through Queenstown covered in the American flag. The 'Lusitania' was torpedoed by a German U-boat on May 7th 1915 with the loss of 1200 lives, including 100 Americans. The incident played a part in bringing the United States into World War I.
