The Sketch featured this picture in their 'We Take Off Our Hat To-' page on 18th June 1941. "Mabel Knibbs of Windsor, fourteen year old member of the Windsor Youth Club detatchment, was parading during War Weapons Week when she dropped her handbag, and a car ran over it. The two Princesses were watching the incident, told the Queen, whereupon her Majesty sent the child a new navy blue handbag to replace the lost one."
