Major Hugh Pollard with his daughter, Miss Diana Pollard, and her friend, Miss Dorothy Watson, getting into a motorcar, 1936. That year these three were featured in an article in 'The Sketch', which credited them with secretly flying General Francisco Franco from Tenerife to Casablanca at the start of the Spanish Civil War. This photograph was taken when the three of them were on their way to a hunt.
