Edward Dudley Metcalfe, MVO, MC, (16 January 1887 – 18 November 1957), known as Fruity Metcalfe, officer in the British Indian Army, a close friend and equerry of Edward VIII, sitting on the beach at Deauville, Côte Fleurie, France, with the Honorable Mrs. Fred Cripps, formerly the Duchess of Westminster, and his wife, Lady Alexandra Metcalfe, formerly Lady Alexandra Curzon, CBE (20 March/April 1904 – 7 August 1995), the third daughter of George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston and Viceroy of India.
