Details |
Marceline the Droll, Spanish-born clown. He became famous at the newly-opened Hippodrome in the early twentieth century and then went to New York to perform at the hippodrome there. He fell on hard times in later life and eventually committed suicide. As a boy, Charlie Chaplin performed with him in the Hippodrome's first Christmas pantomime, Cinderella.
