Meal time at Marie Hilton Creche, Stepney Causeway, London. Hilton set up a facility of about 100 infants between the ages of three weeks and five years to be cared for. Poor parents could pay two pence a day for their child to be fed, rested, and dressed in freshly washed clothes and then return to them after work in the evening.
