The marriage of Prince Olaf, Crown Prince of Norway and Princess Martha, second daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Vastergotland and niece of the King of Sweden, celebrated in the Church of Our Saviour at Oslo on March 21, 1929. The Duke of York - later King George VI - acted as best man. It was the first time in history that a royal wedding had been broadcast on radio.
