Description Mascaret (tidal bore) of the Seine, Normandy, France
Details

People watching the mascaret (tidal bore) of the River Seine at Caudebec-en-Caux, Normandy, France, which resulted from large spring tides, and caused the loss of many ships. After dredging and other precautionary measures during the 1960s, the mascaret is less problematic today.
