Materialisation of Geordie, controlling spirit of Mrs J B Mellon (formerly Annie Fairlamb, 1850-1938). He was described as a tall Scotsman who had lived most of his life in Newcastle. Mrs Mellon's portrait is inset (top left) -- she was apparently seated behind the curtain when the manifestation took place, in the home of the photographer.
