The members of the British prosecuting body at Nuremberg: in the centre of the front row is the attorney-general, Sir Hartley Shawcross. The Nuremberg trials were a series of military tribunals which prosecuted members of the defeated Nazi party. They were held at the Palace of Justice in Nuremberg, Germany, between 1945-1946.
