A memorial tablet in bronze to Captain Robert Falcon Scott and his companions, unveiled by the Prime Minister in 1916 in St. Paul's Cathedral to commemorate the ill-fated expedition to reach the South Pole in 1912 in which Scott and his team mates perished. The tablet contains a medallion portrait of Captain Scott and a panel in relief showing the Polar party on the march.
