Description | Merlin Enabnit and pin up girls |
Details |
Pin-up artist Merlin Enabnit posing with some of his real-life models to promote his series of pin-ups featuring in The Sketch magazine in 1940. An American artist, Merlin, used the new air-brush technique to paint extremely curvaceous and pneumatic girls. His pin-up series in The Sketch was followed by the Lovelies of David Wright. The editorial accompanying this piece compares the pin-ups of Merlin with those by Raphael Kirchner published in The Sketch during World War I.
