Description | Mr. C. B. Cochran introduces his 'old ladies' |
Details |
Brilliant illustration by H. H. Harris imagining the scene in a theatre if impresario C. B. Cochran introduced his 'old' rather than the usual 'young ladies'. As a chorus line of geriatrics high kick their way across the stage, all of smart society expresses shock. The caption annotates all the figures depicted but among them are the Aga Khan, Lady Asquith with her son Anthony, Woolf Barnato, Sir John and Lady Lavery, Gordon Selfridge and Somerset Maugham.
