Description Mr Stanley Baldwin
Details

Stanley Baldwin when he became the Unionist candidate for the Bewdley Division in Worcester. As Prime Minister, Baldwin was noted for his tact during the abdication crisis in 1936 and for bringing down the Liberal coalition in 1923 with a speech criticising David Lloyd-George. He resigned in 1937 over a failure to recognise the threat from Nazi germany.
