Details |
A Social Leader in the Far East - a crayon portrait of Mrs. Griffin (née Emma Glory O'Donnell), the wife of Mr. Justice Griffin. Her husband was a judge of the High Court of Allahabad, and The Tatler claims Mrs Griffin 'has done much to lessen the gulf between East and West by the charming hospitality which she has extended to Indians as well as to Europeans.' The portrait is a reproduction of a drawing by Mr. Harvard Thomas, the eminent sculptor.
