Hazel Lavery, wife of the painter Sir John Lavery, pictured as La Prima Vera by Botticelli at the Picture Ball, held at the Albert Hall in aid of the Invalid Kitchens of London The ball paid homage to all styles of painting from the past from Egyptian and Etruscan up to the Modernists with a succession of highly accurate representations made by members of high society.
