Mrs Leopold Albu, formerly Adelaide Veronica Elizabeth Burton, wife of Leopold Albu, mining magnate. Pictured in the costume she wore at a small dance she gave at 4 Hamilton Place, Park Lane in February 1912. The Tatler remarks that she is, 'a great lover of animals' - particularly tigers by the look of the rug she's standing on. Adelaide's marriage to Leopold ended in an acrimonious divorce in 1915.
