Mrs Raymond Asquith, formerly Katherine Mary Horner (1885 - 1976), wife of Raymond Asquith, the eldest of Prime Minister Herbert Asquith's four sons. Raymond was a renowned intellectual and member of 'The Coterie', a ground a leading Edwardian socialites and intellectuals. His death, at the Battle of Flers-Courcelette in September 1916, was seen as symbolic of the end of the Edwardian era during World War I.
