Page from The Sketch reporting on the departure from Heston airport of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain to meet Adolf Hitler at Berchtesgaden on September 15th to discuss the heightening crisis in Europe. Chamberlain returned on 30 September and in a famous speech spoke of 'Peace for our time' following the Anglo-German pact.
