Myles Standish marches with a group of armed men, and are led by Hobbaamock, a Pokanoket man who was the Pniese (special warrior and advisor) for Massasoit. Massasoit's leadership was under threat by a Sachem, Corbitant, and this was a threat to the mutual defense treaty the colony had with the Pokanoket tribe. So Standish led a group of men to capture and kill Corbitant and uphold the treaty.
