Lady Willoughby de Eresby and Mrs Ronald Tree (better known as Nancy Lancaster), billed in The Tatler as M.P.'s wives on their presentation at court at Buckingham Palace. Nancy Lancaster (1897 - 1994), nee Perkins, was an influential American-born tastemaker, interior decorator and garden designer. She married Ronald Tree in 1920, moving to Britain in 1927; the couple divorced in 1947 and she married Claude Lancaster in 1948. She was associated with the English Country House Style.
