Description | Nero |
Details |
A rather drunk looking man smoking a pipe and playing an accordion sits ignoring the British pound note beside him going up in flames. The picture title is a satirical allusion to the Emperor Nero who allegedly started the fire that destroyed Rome and played the cithara while the flames devoured the city.
