Details

A landmark building in London at the corner of the Strand and Wellington Street, which was, in 1927, shortly to house the 'Great Eight' after the addition of another storey. The Great Eight described in The Sphere as 'one of the dominant forces in illustrated journalism' consisted of The Illustrated London News, The Graphic, The Sphere, The Tatler, The Bystander, The Sketch, Britannia & Eve, and The Illustrated Sporting & Dramatic News.
