Description New Tube Railway for Mail by G H Davis
Details

A diagram giving the details of the post office tube between Paddington and Whitechapel, built at the time at a cost of ú1,500,000. The line began construction in 1913, but was delayed by the First World War, as well as rising material costs. The diagram features details on how the system worked, as well as a rail map.
