A series of silhouette vignettes by H. L. Oakley depicting night time activity behind the British lines during World War One. Silhouettes show mules pulling supplies, a large truck obstructing the path of officers on horseback, French troops loading up their beer cart and British troops, moving from trenches to billets, passing a calvary at a cross roads.
