Norman Parkinson (1913-1990), British portrait and fashion photographer, or, as The Sketch describes him, 'the modern camera artist', pictured in his studio decorated with a mural painting of himself with all the attributes of 1937 photography, while facing it was a satirical painting of a Victorian photographer taking a stiff family group.
