Pre World War One charity midnight ball, in aid of 'The National Institute for the Blind', taking place at the 'Savoy' on 25 June, everyone who attended bought a ticket for a lucky-dip, with the winner receiving a Daimer motor-car of the value of £600 and any of the beautiful dresses shown or a piece of jewellery, the total amount £3000.
