Page from The Sphere showing the officiating clergy at the marriage of Prince Albert, Duke of York to Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon on 26 April 1923 at Westminster Abbey. Top left picture shows the splendour of the Abbey's copes and the rich character of the vestments of the Abbey rich in gold threadwork. On the right is the cross carried at the wedding made by Rodman Wanamaker with the crossbearer wearing a magnificent cope of beautiful needlework. The bottom picture shows the clergy and officials including Cosmo Lang, Archbishop of Canterbury and the Archbishop of York on the left while to the right are the Dean and the Precentor. Standing behind are Mr E. F. Knapp-Fisher, Receiver General adn Lord Salisbury, High Steward of Westminster Abbey.
