Scene at the royal opening of the new Royal Festival Hall, on the South Bank, London, with a full auditorium, and members of the royal family in the royal box -- King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, and Princess Margaret. After the National Anthem came a service of dedication, with a short address by the Archbishop of Canterbury, then an inaugural concert with suitably patriotic British music.
