The Viceroy of India, Lord Irwin, together with his wife Lady Irwin, in the Viceregal carriage with an attendant holding over them the Royal golden umbrella. The procession was arriving at the scene of the ceremony to open the new Council House at Dehi, shortly after the new capital was inaugurated.
