Description | Origin Species, CH Bennett, man on holiday - cock |
Details |
'Cock-a-doodle-do'. Satire on Darwin's 'Origin of Species' showing the evolution of man on holiday from a cock. His nose is a beak, his beard once a cox comb, his coat-tails only just moulted their feathers. He seems to annoy every one he encounters. Windy as a pair of bellows, drunk on soda, noisy as a bell, legs like scissors. Poor fellow should have stayed at home.
