From left, a highed necked walking dress with one deep flounce at the bottom of the skirt edged with narrow velvet, and five small plaited flounces above also edged with narrow velvet. The body with buttons to match the dress and sleeves composed of four frills. Worn with a light barege shawl and bonnet with a tour-de-tete. Middle; another walking dress with six flounces without trimming. A row of bows in velvet or coloured ribbon descend down the front of the dress. Tight sleeves with puffing at shoulders, above the manchette (cuffs) three bows similar but smaller to those down the front of the dress. A lace collar and a rice chip bonnet with very deep curtain and a velvet and flower trim complete the ensemble. Right; an evening dress of embroidered muslin with four flounces of equal distance from the waist, which is enveloped by a sash. Large hanging sleeves. Chemisette of lace or very clear muslin surmounted by ruching.
