Paris improvements to the new Paris market of Temple, constructed where the old decayed building lay unused for eighty years. The new building that is shown in this illustration is constructed of 10 ft brickwork then decorated iron columns and glazed panels to make it a light and airy inside. Parisians could buy their secondhand clothing in the thousands of small shops and bazaars.
