Sketches by H. H. Harris of various well-known artists, writers and celebrities of the 1930's who were regular patrons of the Cafe Royal in Regent Street, London. Left from top: Tilly Losch (dancer and actress), A. P. Herbert (writer and wit), L. Hore-Belisha (M.P responsible for the introduction of the driving test, 'Belisha Beacons' and conscription during World War II), Victoria Hopper (actress) and Joe Coyne (actor). Right from top: George Grossmith (actor, manager and playwright), Epstein (artist and sculptor), Augustus John (artist), Herman Finck (composer) and J. B. Priestley (author and playwright).
