Number of the types of people left in London, whilst more fortunate folk went on holiday in the summer. The images show (clockwise from top): Carriage and horses with the caption 'Our coachman to look after the horses'; Jeames of the Carlton Club; rooftop cats; 'The producer of big gooseberries and discoverer of sea serpents' writing at his desk; a Policeman; a Hansom Cabby of Mayfair. The central image shows a policeman on horseback regulating the traffic on Rotten Row.
