Phylacteries and mezuzoth (mezuzah). Phylactery, more commonly known as Tefillin is a small leather box containing scrolls of parchetment with Hebrew texts insribed on them, often worn by adult Jewish men at weekday morning prayer as a reminder to keep the law. Mezuzah (plural mezuzoth) is a parchment inscribed with religious texts that is attached in a case to the doorpost of a Jewish house as a sign of faith.
