Description Piercy and Co.'s 'Bascule,' or see-saw 1886
Details

A plank balanced on a high stone or other convenient elevation, was reduced by Messrs H. J. T. Piercy and Co. engineers, Broad-Street, Birmingham to scientific principles and resulted in this illustration showing an apparatus to which is capable of affording an endless fund of amusement for children and youths.
