Description | Pleasure routes across the Atlantic |
Details |
Pleasure routes in the wake of Columbus - mapped in the manner of the old cartographers: ocean cruises to the Caribbean and the romantic islands of the West Indies, once the haunt of the buccaneers, and a thousand miles further north of the Bermudas. An old style map showing the routes of various ocean cruise liners across the Atlantic during the 1930s. Ships include the Reina des Pacifico, the Laconia, the Britannic, and the Duchess of Richmond. To the top left of the map is an impression of the booking hall at travel agent, Thomas Cook in Berkeley Street, London.
