Seventy polar bears arriving at the London Hippodrome from Hamburg, transported there to take part in the theatre's Christmas water spectacular, 'The Arctic'. Fifty of them plunged from icebergs into the water while the remaining bears roamed about a replica deserted ship. The Sphere comments that the animals, which were transported in seven huge steel cages, caused quite a sensation as they were transported via central London.
