Double page spread from The Illustrated London News showing scenes at Port Sunlight, the model village built by William Lever (Lord Leverhulme) to house workers at his soap factory. The village provided spacious accommodation and every conceivable amenity for its inhabitants, as represented in the photographs here showing the Boys' Brigade, the bowling club, office scenes, schools and the church.
