Poster for the latest 'wonder show' at the London Hippodrome, for Christmas 1906. The Treasure Ship in Fairy Seas featured several scenes played under water in the Hippodrome's transparent tank. Swimmers the Finney sisters and Annette Kellerman starred as mermaids, and the octopus was "something new in stage characters".
