Officers and banner bearers standing in front of the Queen Victoria Memorial outside Buckingham Palace, still covered in scaffolding but due to be unveiled on 16th May 1911 in the presence of King George V, Queen Mary and Kaiser Wilhelm II. The Duke of Connaught inspected this rehearsal in March. The sculpture was created by Sir Thomas Brock with the surround designed by Sir Aston Webb.
