Preparing for Edward VII's coronation, unfortunately two days before the due date 26th June 1902, Edward became seriously ill with appendicitis and underwent an emergency operation, he recovered and the new date was postponed to 9th August the same year. Drawing showing a large company of work-girls in Westminster Abbey, adjusting the carpet.
